THE POLAR PLANK CRATE BREAKDOWN
The Reality: Many package builders ship bare 2×6 stud framing that still requires weeks of hanging fiberglass, vapor barrier stapling, sheetrock hanging, taping, mudding, and sanding. Polar Plank walls arrive 100% finished on both sides. The interior is clear-satin sealed Alaskan white spruce. The core is continuous R-32 or R-50 polyurethane. The exterior is factory-stained timber. Zero drywall labor is required.

Conventional log and timber kits ship rough wood that requires extensive post-erection finishing. Traditional stick framing requires days of hanging fiberglass insulation, vapor barrier inspections, sheetrock hanging, mudding, taping, and sanding.

Sealed Clear Satin Timber
Clear-satin sealed Alaskan white spruce. Beautiful natural timber interior ready for living the day walls stand. Zero Sheetrock, zero mudding, zero painting required.
Solid Closed-Cell Polyurethane
Continuous R-32 (standard) or R-50 (Arctic upgrade) solid foam core factory-injected between timber skins. Zero voids, zero drafts, zero interior insulation labor.
Factory-Stained Alaska Timber
Finished with industrial-grade Alaska-tested exterior stain in three tones (or unstained upon request). Weather-resistant timber envelope sheds moisture immediately.
Precision Shell-Lock Splines
Tongue-and-groove splines with high-density compression gaskets lock adjoining panels into a rigid, monolithic shear wall with 0.00" settling over its lifetime.

Our small Home Show demonstration cabin shell erects and dries-in within a single day using an experienced crew and boom truck.
Standing exterior walls, structural roof rafters, and T&G ceiling decking are set and closed to Alaska weather within 48 to 72 hours.
Ground clearing, foundation cure, metal roofing, plumbing, electrical, and finish cabinetry follow standard multi-week schedules managed by your general contractor.

Before spending $15,000 to $25,000 on outside architectural firms like Kimber or Studio 49, our in-house drafting lead, Ali, works directly with you to customize floor plans and generate photorealistic 3D cabin walk-throughs.
Outside architects often design stick-frame layouts that require expensive re-engineering for timber panelization. Our in-house Revit models are tailored from day one to our Soldotna CNC tooling and crane picks.
See cathedral ceiling pitches, loft stair configurations, solar window orientation, and kitchen layouts in high-definition 3D before a single log is cut.
Complete plan sets with foundation dimensions, roof load calcs, and wall assembly details ready for borough permitting and construction loan appraisal.
We review your land topography, access constraints (road, barge, or air), and heating preferences to select or modify standard footprints (Plans 01–04) or design a clean-slate custom cabin.
We build a full 3D digital twin of your home. You can inspect window placements for mountain views, evaluate loft head clearances, and adjust partition walls in real time.
Approved Revit models export directly into CNC machine code for timber milling, ensuring every wall panel, rafter notch, and spline aligns with zero field rework.
